Been busy enough over the weekend to not make time to type. Rather, I *could* have made time to type, but didn't want to break the momentum.

So, here's what I've got done since the last update:

Friday evening, spent 90 minutes at the greenhouse after work, helped rearrange tables, and seeded 7 flats

Saturday, I shaved my legs (first time since New Year's, I think) for the Charlesworth party, scrubbed the bath tub and the bathroom sink, washed and blocked the two lace scarves and one lace shawl I've had waiting for months, emptied the dishwasher and started restacking it. And went to the party, and stayed until Jen kicked us out at 1:30. Oh, and in the afternoon I drove to Shawnee and picked up an orphaned table loom from a very nice lady.

Sunday, I did a spring cleanup on one of the iris beds, and the bed below the deck, and cleaned out the pots on the deck, and pulled down last year's morning glory vines. I put together a nice beef and veggie stew (ooo, leftovers). And I finished the square crocheted rug I've been keeping next to the computer, and started a second.

Monday, I spent most of the day at the greenhouse, and got 17 flats seeded, adn helped rearrange tables. Donna wouldn't let me buy my lunch yesterday, because she wanted to pay me back for the help, which bothers me a bit....I'm there because she's my friend and desperately needs the help, not because I expect payback for it. Came home, knitted a bit, read a bit too late, since By fell asleep early and it was quiet.

Today, I'm doing laundry, and plan to bake a batch of bread this afternoon, and I've got a registration meeting tonight. The next crochet rug, oval this time, is about 2' long, and a bit over 1' wide, and I've cleaned off half a shelf in one of the yarn cabinets to make it so far.

Other progress, out of order:
*My Kiri shawl is 16" deep at center back now, and I've memorized the pattern.
*The SeaBreeze vest is 7" deep, so about halfway to the armholes.
*We've got 4 persimmon and 3 soapberry seedlings in the greenhouse. The persimmon seeds were from one of the trees on the tree trail, its first fruiting last fall. The soapberry seeds were from the tree that used to be in front of my grandmother's house.
*I found most of the yarrow seedlings I'd put out in the iris beds last summer--'Cerise Queen' and 'Cassis' varieties. Looking forward to seeing these bloom this year.

the sage still kissed
by winter, but it tastes
like July

More progress made: two loads of laundry done, the bread is rising, the oval rug is 18" wide now, and I'm off to get a shower.

I even skittered outside (in my tie-dyed housedress and very bright shades-of-purple-and-teal shawl, what will the neighbor think?) to fetch fresh rosemary and sage and thyme for the bread, even though there's snow(!!!!) mixed with the rain, because I'm that hungry for spring tastes.
