Since I'm officially short-timing now, I can get away with a bit more blatant goofing off than I did previously, but I do have a few things I need to finish up, or at least get to decent stopping points. The spraying I'm doing today, for instance (which is why I'm here today), and some research projects I had started on for the Higher Up's. Little chance of me finishing the taxonomy project, that's too time intensive, but I can try to leave it at a point where my replacement can pick it up and finish.

I'd dead-ass tired this morning, because I was just too excited to sleep last night, and so I'm running on about 3 1/2 hrs sleep, but I'm excited enough to not care. I don't expect that to last the whole day, though.

At some point today, I've got to see if the paperwork to finalize this deal is over in the SCI department, or in HR. Do that, then do my formal written 2 week's notice. (YAY!!!) The guys in the shop are all very happy for me ("at least one of us is getting out"), and even New Boss seems fairly positive about it. (But I've been a thorn in his side for a while, so he may be happy to see me go. At first. Until he realizes how many planting maps exist only in my head.)

What else went on this weekend? Helped Star move, which went really fast, and she fed us pizza, which also went really fast :) Only got three bruises from the move, one on my leg from carrying a set of shelves up the stairs, and I think the two on my arms came from trying to get that durn sofa turned around. The stairs at that complex were very narrow.

By dug out some of his old garb, and that plus a shirt made a decent set of go-to-renfest garb for Tristan. Need to remember to pick up dye for the shirt on the way home tonight. And grommets.

Oh, Cammie, before I forget: the earrings were perfect. They were EXACTLY the shades of turquoise in the pearls I wore, and I got compliments on them. Thank you again. For that and the pep talks.

I suppose I ought to go work a little this morning. But only a little :)

I feel ya on the little sleep bit. But you had a much better reason than I (*&*^%*$ side work)

Do Like I plan on doing. Medicate heavily with caffiene and sugar. :-D

**sigh**

I've been trying to cut down on the caffiene/sugar combo, because my chosen form of it is starting to upset my stomach again, but...today's going to be one of those days I just gotta have it. Once I'm out of grounds, though, I anticipate less stress, closer bathrooms and water fountains, and an easier time cutting out the soda.

I'm surprised you couldn't hear me squeeing all the way down there, yesterday afternoon. I'm still VERY VERY EXCITED. Enough to make for the sleep dep, even.

Mrph.

You know, there are people who read this journal, who don't need your kind of encouragement. You don't want to be a bad influence on my friends, do you?

Me? A bad influence? Never!

(Note to other readers: She obviously has me confused with someone else in her excitement. Don't pay any attention to that man behind the curtain. And don't believe half of what she tells you, until you have the chance to find out for yourself in person.)

That is just an urban legend. *nods convincingly* I am willing to attempt to recreate said incident, to show everyone that it was a complete fabrication... or not

I'm glad the earrings worked. and I'm thrilled you got the job.

I am going to pick up dye for some stuff tonight, would green work?, if so you can send the shirt with Byron on wed. and I will throw it in with my stuff.

I appreciate the offer, but I've got other things to stop for, so I just added dye to the list. Tristan wanted a fairly dark forest green, so I'm going to try a box each of dark green and blue RIT. And I've got at least one other thing to throw in, if I can find it; might as well do both.
