Oct. 9th, 2010 02:06 pmBoth of my children have sparkly toenails, courtesy of a bottle of lavender-tinted glitter nail polish. The Boy is bumbling around the living room, trying to walk and admire his toes at the same time.
I've managed to unpack the two boxes of hand-me-down we've received the past couple of weeks, and I've gone through The Miss's dresser and pulled out the too-small things. Still need to do The Boy's dresser, and find places to put the new stuff. I think I need to make a place to put stuff that's still too big, so it doesn't take up the drawer space.
The Miss snagged a nice little black and white coat out of one box this morning, and hasn't taken it off since. Looks a bit funny with her shorts, but she's happy.
Also managed two loads of laundry today, which included the teddy bear that got dunked in the tadpole pond yesterday. On purpose, and no, I have no idea what The Miss thought she was accomplishing. But she was mad as heck when I took it away from her and tossed it in the washer.
The leftover bits from last night's roast chicken got cooked down overnight, and I've strained off the broth and fished out the leftover little bits of meat. That'll be chicken and noodles later.
Am headed over to D's tomorrow with the kids, to drop off daffodils and get plants and just get away from the house for a little while. Must remember to pack extra clothes, 'cuz The Boy will probably go into her pond again.
