Well, I'd meant to tidy and do adult things last night, but didn't make it any further than that. Stayed an extra half hour at work last night, finishing the tank of water (and the flowerbed) I was working on, which put me leaving into rush hour traffic, which put me home an hour later than usual, which just put me off kilter for the rest of the evening. New Boss is absent today, so I may knock out the watering as fast as possible, and sneak home early.

String geeks, beware. They did it to us again. This post on [livejournal.com profile] knitting lists the new Knitpicks yarns for fall '05.

**sigh**

One is an alpaca/cashmere blend. Another is a brushed alpaca/wool/nylon blend that looks rather like mohair (and would be a fine choice for that fuzzy yarn Clapotis we'd talked about, Cat, because it's cheaper than Patons Divine). And I have no idea what I'd do with Panache, which is a bulky weight alpaca/cashmere/silk/wool blend, but it looks dreamy, and the colors are perfect.

**sigh**

So much yarn, so little time.

One tank's worth of water down, am halfway through turning the heel on one sock, and am about 75% through the heel on the other. Am crossing my fingers, and hoping I got this part right; heel depth is tricky to fit, without the foot in question being on hand. I plan to get the heels turned, do part of the ankle on one sock, and wait until I can pin T down at the meeting tomorrow for a fitting. Next up: my socks!

(Yes, it's bad when my knitting progress is by far the most exciting part of my morning.)
