Another day in the water truck. At least it's not 80 yet.

Didn't get much done last night, just too wiped out from the heat. Watered the most desperate of the things in the garden, came in, started dinner (and we have leftovers, go me!), tried to call Mom, gathered up laundry, talked to By when he got home. And I was tired enough to not be good company when folks called to sociallize; sorry about that, guys. I'll be better next time.

By's off to pick up some stuff for a leather project that's got to be done by Tara (so, Aug 20) this evening. I'll be watering (yet, still...), and cleaning a bit. The house gets untidy when we're this tired, and I'd like the weekend company to see it a little better than it is right now. Should try to call Mom again, too. Haven't talked to her in a while.

Lunchtime check-in

Got two tanks' worth of water put down, half of today's list done, and several inches on T's sock. Am now into the gusset increases on one sock, and am quite pleased with myself for managing to tuck the line of increases under a cable, so they don't show, and all you get is a smooth cable line up the side of the sock. Ok, I'm string geeking, but I really am proud of myself for figuring it out.
