It's f***-all cold this morning. Cold enough that I dug out the bottoms to my silk longjohns, so I wouldn't freeze in the greenhouse today. It snowed the whole way to work, nothing serious, just that dry, powdery, it's-so-cold-it's-got-to-snow kind of stuff.

Went to see Goblet of Fire with By and Cammie yesterday afternoon. Vastly enjoyed the movie. Draco the amazing bouncing ferret--just the way I envisioned that scene in the book. Took some yarn and a hook with me, got 6 squares done during the movie. (And no, I can't remember what my count is. I've lost track, so I'll have to hand-count them sometime this week.)

Sounds like work was all kinds of interesting last week. Brian (the work-study guy) missed a good chunk of the week, also for a funeral. He said he'd heaard that Donna had more time to supervise DG last week, and that things did not go well for DG. He also said he'd gotten on DG's case the days he was here, because she was supposed to be watering, and had missed bunches of things. Not unusual--the woman just can't learn. Here's hoping she's gone soon. I'm tired of dealing with it.

I'm crossing my fingers and hoping the forecast holds for this coming Friday. I've got to give a tour of the tree trail that afternoon, to the Wyandotte county extension agent and someone she's working with. Since I'm no longer on grounds, it's got to be a walking tour. Gak. 32 degrees I could deal with. If it's still in the teens, I'm calling Lynne and arranging a different time for the tour.

That's about it. Not a very exciting weekend, since I spent most of it hiding after the trip. Gotta call Mom tonight, because I forgot to call her and let her know we were home safely.

It's my fault. ;-P

I was complaining about it not being cold enough for December, so the cold decided to come and visit. In order for the cold to come viist, it had to go through you. ;-) It was 19 here this morning, but has warmed nicely.

Grrrrrrrr.

Wish you were closer, I'd put my COLD hands someplace tender. That'd show you!

It's supposed to get UP TO 14 degrees tomorrow. Maybe. With a wind chill of 1 degree OR BELOW all damn day. And snow. 2-4" of the white stuff by Thurs, some of the forecasters are saying.

If I could figure out how to get it there, I'd send it ALL south to you.

So.... get By / Boyfriend to "warm" you up in the mornings.... get your day off to a good start. Then make sure you have a "portable fireplace" to keep next to you, so you stay warm...

Or get a couple of sets of battery powered socks, cannibalize them for the heating stuff, and knit some stockings around them. You could do the same with opera length gloves too.

You're not helping.

If By or Boyfriend warmed me up like that in the mornings, I'd never make it to work on time.

Oh, come on, can't I just have a tiny bit of snow, maybe on a day when none of us have to leave the house. One teeny tiny city stopping blizzard :)

So, on what unlikely day would none of us need to leave the house?

According to my little book, Saturday February 12th is free :) Does that look good for you guys ? We could plan it out, all of us get to one house or the other, make a big batch of chili, and then it could start snowing and we could play Scrabble, or LOTR risk all day :)

Damm, planning these blizzards around all 5 of our schedules is hard

Planning anything around 5 schedules is hard.

That's the biggest lesson of being poly, I think--time management is a killer.

How's the knees doing?

I could feel them radiating "ouch!" Friday night.

Better than Friday or Saturday (Saturday was bad), not as well as yesterday. I'm trying not to think about it.
