The Knitting Reports
Aug. 2nd, 2005 12:05 pmThe Sock Report: As I mentioned in the previous entry, T's kilt hose fit. Perfectly. AND, I guessed right on where to start the gusset shaping. SO, I'll set the first foot aside, and start the second today, and write the process down, so I've got the pattern should I want to make a second pair for him someday. And chart the cables. That'd be really helpful.
Started a simple pair of socks for myself on Saturday, just so I'd have a no-brainer project to work on. Shaded purple self-striping yarn (from By's mom last birthday), toe-up, feather-and-fan pattern. Note to self: feather-and-fan spreads horizontally. Remember to account for that when you're figuring stitch counts.
The UnSock Report: Am only a couple of inches away from being done with the butterfly wrap for the first mom-to-be. Well, that and the borders. The borders will be fast, though.
Pulled out the cuffs of The Sweater this weekend, and worked a little on that. I REALLY want to get it done, so I can wear it. And so I don't feel guilty about starting something else for myself.
