treeskinAnother semi-productive day: a little pruning, a little mulching, another meeting with contractor (who also didn't argue about warranty stuff, so the world must be coming to an end). Looks like there's no serious rain in the forecast for a few days, so I'm going to water trees today, which is just right for my energy levels.
By's got to be in early today, because the First Friday/Mother's Day show is open from noon to 9pm, and the intern didn't show up yesterday afternoon, so they were behind in their preparations as of last night. Poor man's running on 3 hrs sleep today, and short sleep the rest of the week; I hope Robyn doesn't keep him until 9 tonight.
Told Ashe not to count on us at all for this weekend's wood-busting. He's likely to have plenty of help, and we just have too much to do at home. I think we're going to skip the HSA meeting, too.
The Sock Report: got stitches picked up for the heel on the second Turkish sock, and got the heel about half done last night. Pretty good, considering I kept dozing off in my knitting. Brought both socks with me today, figured I'd finish the heel and weave in ends while I'm watering trees. Also packed the socks I started for myself last month, because there's not much left on those either. Ack. Just realized I forgot to tuck a lucet in the bag. Oh well. Cords for the Turkish socks don't take that long to make.
