It warmed up enough this afternoon that the salt and icemelt kicked in. Not as much as we'd like, but every bit helps. We've taken it easy today, unless the boss was watching, because (a) it's Friday, (b) we're still more than a week out from classes starting again, (c) we've still got an ice layer under things, and that's most effectively dealt with by giving the chemicals enough time to do their job. The Other Dave and I puttered all afternoon, did our best to distract the boss, and cleaned the shop a bit. (Too much icemelt on the floor = unsafe walking surface. That's motivation enough for us to do something about it.)

Still, I've run tired all day, and am looking forward to getting home tonight and finishing that shawl.
