It's fitting, that this week will be starting off with a rain day. (There's thunder and lightning out, so I assume it'll be a rain day.) Kinda sets the mood for the rest of the week.

I am reminded again that I'm leaving just in time. Nothing major, just lots of little inconvenient changes that I'll only have to deal with a few days. The latest one: the work trucks have to be locked overnight now, because someone's coming into the compound and messing with them. (For the record, the keys are stored in a box, inside the locked office, inside the shop, which needs a keycard to open.) Nothing missing or major done, just weird "messing with you" kind of stuff. Still, it'll be a nuissance, trying to remember.

My new keys are already in, so I need to go turn in my current set today or tomorrow. I'll only need them once or twice before Saturday, and I can work around that. (Read here, someone else will have to get building trash on Saturday, or give me their keys.) My keycard is already programmed for the front door of the greenhouse, and they're supposed to be adding access to the classroom to it soonish.

Still waiting to hear what my new salary is going to be. No less than $11.95/hr, but I really hope it'll be more than that; that'd be a bit of a cut.

I guess I'm going out for beer and tacos with the guys tomorrow night, for at least a token appearance. (Okay, skip the beer, I'll ust have tacos.) That's their idea of a going away party. Courtney probably won't be able to make it because of class, which'll be a bummer. It'd be nice to not be the only girl in the group.

Realized this weekend that I'm going from a mostly male, mostly NSFW sort of environment to a mostly female, more polite one. Must remember to be careful about that.

Started watching the long-range forecasts for Highland Games weekend (Oct 8, 9, 10). Right now, they're calling for partly cloudy and 70's all weekend. **crosses fingers**

Hey, Cat!

PocketMod personal pocket organizer

printable day planner

Edit: I'd originally marked these as private, so I wouldn't spam my friend's pages. But the PocketMod is a Very Cool thing, if you're into analog solutions at all. It's set up with all kinds of graphs and layouts that can be put on the pages, calenders and math formulas and referency things. AND, the format is one of the simplest fold-it-then-make-two-cuts-and-it's-a-book styles of pamphlet.

Cat--remember you told me about one of your instructors who carried a folded piece of paper in her pocket for notes and stuff? This might be just the thing for her.
