Hey sweetie, check out the Peacock Plumes Bolero from elann.com. Thought it would look good on you. Be a fairly easy knit, too.

I can't believe it's Tuesday already. But--one more week on the grounds crew. There will be great rejoicing.

Before I forget: apologies to anyone who tried to call me on my cell yesterday. Tristan's car was acting up, AND the battery on his cell died Sunday, so he took my phone in to work with him so he could call for a rescue if the car crapped out. If you left a voice mail, I'll try to get back to you today.

Had fun at RenFest this weekend. Saturday was almost restful....just enough busy-ness to be entertaining, while still allowing us to wander around and stuff. Weather was decent, too. Sunday was humid enough that the patrons didn't want to play, and we were miserable in our garb. I wussed out early Sunday...knees just couldn't handle it, and Tristan brought me home. By said they didn't have anyone show up to do the last couple of events, so I didn't miss anything.

And I wasn't missed Sunday evening, helping pack down Robyn's booth--By said they had enough help that they were tripping over each other. I guess it wasn't a good year at the Plaza show, but I haven't heard how bad it was.

The child blessing for our goddaughter was very nice. Very early, but nice. And well attended--lots of people must love that baby, because they were all there at 7am on a Sunday morning :)

Let's see...what else to update? Made progress on the kilt hose while we were at RenFest, measured a couple of people for kilt hose, to be made in exchange for a new bodice (weee!), made three temari last night (to let my hands rest from knitting). Got to see (and help) a friend get himself into tights for the first time. That was all kinds of fun.

Oh! Ended up meeting Tristan's ex out at fest, quite by accident. We were all very civil. It's always a little odd, meeting someone you've heard so many horrible things about. (And I'm very attached to the boy, so I admit I'm biased.) She mostly ignored me. I plan to be more obviously "with him" next time.

Yes, I'm goofing off. But I haven't taken much time to piddle around on the computer lately. The latest find: The Basic Laws of Human Stupidity.
