At work on a Tuesday again. Blech.
Apr. 19th, 2005 07:04 amActually got a weekend this time, though. A busy one, but still a weekend.
Got off work at 10 Friday, spent the rest of the day helping Donna transplant in the greenhouse, with a long lunch/short shopping trip in the middle. Donna had the urge to go to Borders, since it was their Educator's Appreciation Weekend. She got a couple gardening books, a book of cat stories for her sister, and she bought me a picture/technique book from the books arts classes at Penland, as an early b-day present. Weeee! As a result, I got nothing done Fri night, becasue I was drooling over the book and muttering, "I could make that".
Spent Saturday out at camp, working much harder than we'd intended to. We'd planned to go out, clear rocks out of the dance circle, and do some cleanup in our campsites. But ER's schedule changed, so rather than next week, the new for the dance circle was delivered yesterday. That meant we had to get all the rocks out of the fire ring AND outer rim of the circle, then move sod--the hard way. I ended up doing most of the sod moving, simply because the rest of the group didn't know how to use a sod shovel, and the guys were more use hauling the sod down to Heretic Camp to fix the drainage. So I was (a) sunburnt by the end of the day, and (b) very very sore--8 hrs of hard labor. At least Miss Presumptuous and her kid left midafternoon....
By worked on cleaning up the driveway and sorting scrap metal for recycling Sunday; I puttered in the yard (still very sore), and did a batch of bread. I spent yesterday taking it easy, because today's going to be a long day...that tour is tonight at 4, and I'll probably not leave here until after 6pm.
