Still here
Dec. 1st, 2004 10:04 amAnd at work, in fact. Bleh. Already drove campus, looking for icy patches. I think we used a can and a half of ice melt, total.
Yesterday's fever broke midday, and I felt more human by evening. I'm still stuffed up and hacking today, but it's shifted to the "get this stuff out of my lungs" stage, and I can deal with that.
The new boss hasn't learned yet that our workplace is not worried about money saved by thrifty use of icemelt. I'm told he's spending the morning chipping an ice flow off a drive lane in one of the new parking lots. Silly human. The rest of us would just toss more ice melt on. Better living through modern chemistry, indeed.
