Update on Sis
Sep. 1st, 2004 08:53 pmAs of late this afternoon, Sis and Baby are at home (at her insistance, she says). She's not supposed to drive for 2 weeks, and she's really sore in some places, but she's ok.
Baby will go back for checkups in two weeks--he had a heart murmur at birth, and he failed the hearing test, but the doc said both of those are probably related to the trauma of getting him out. Sis said he looked like he was run over by a truck Monday night, but he's better now. Bruises on his head, and one shoulder and arm, and all down his chest. I could hear him crying on the phone, so his lungs work.
( Graphic female medical bits, you may not want to know )
They almost didn't do Sis's tubal yesterday, because her hemoglobin count was very very low, but they did, so her navel is sore too. But she's cheerful about that one. Heck, now that it's over, she's cheerful in general. But that could be the super-duper Midol she's doped with.
