Best laid plans, etc....
Aug. 18th, 2004 07:19 amApparently Courtney hasn't been to work all week, and hasn't called in today, so I get to spend the week watering. Joy.
The leak that the boss was fixing at the new parking garage on Saturday is fixed, but it's leaking at least one other place, there are some broken valves, and a bunch of heads that need moved, were the wrong type, or just flat not installed. On a project that's not officially done yet. *shakes head* Once again, lowest bidder....
The Maintenance Director wants trees in all of the new parking lot islands, no matter how small, and it sounds like I've been delegated to try to talk him out of it. Blech. He also wants to send it out for bid by next week at the latest, so I get to take the plans and tree catalogs with me in the watering truck.
The Annoying Part-Time Staff are pretending I don't exist this morning, which is fine, but part of me hopes they do mouth off again, soon...Vice President offered to deal with the situation if my boss didn't, and I'd love to take him up on that offer. There would be wailing and gnashing of teeth as they cleaned out their lockers and signed their last time cards, and I'd be there to sell tickets.
