May. 9th, 2003 02:38 pmTwice now, the tornados have skirted just a few miles south and east of us. Wheee!
By & I spent the hours of the tornado warning mstly outside, watching the clouds slide past. It was very strange--there were three distinct layers, and they were moving at different speeds and directions. Very cool. And the air had that funny, makes-your-palms itch feel, like you could feel the friction from the different air streams running against your skin.
Beyond that, we got a little rain (enough to wet the sidewalk), a little wind (20-25 mph, we've had much worse), and a neato-keen cloud show.
