Apparently, the smoke all over campus yesterday was from a control burn on the prairie at Overland Park Arboretum. Don't konw how long it lasted yesterday; I & my allergies went home at noon. I was hoping to sit onthe deck and enojoy the sunshine and cleaner air, but the neighbors were burning trash when I got home, so I stayed inside. Very frustrating. I can still smell the smoke, faintly, this morning.
Didnt' get a thing done yesterday afternoon or evening. I take that back--I did putter some on my herb notebook (actually, a bunch of files on the computer); I have years' worth of editing to do on that. Just didn't have the attention span for anything else, which was a pity, because my 3 lbs of grey wool sock yarn arrived last night, and I was too pitiful to get excited.
By stayed up late dong the wrappings for Robyn's birthday present. A shallow wicker basket, painted bright purple, and some cool napkins with an Aires symbol on each corner. This is to hold the chocolate-covered cherries he made. She ought to like it.
The trip to the farm is being postponed until we get tires on the truck. (It's ok for back and forth driving, but not that kind of trip.) Probably next week.
