I'm not sure which is worse--the dread and worry of not being able to find yur wallet, or the embarassment of realizing you'd walked past it a dozen times when you were looking for it.

This morning started somewhat better. Still foggy, almost raining, but I found and had everything I needed. New Boss was in being his usual idiot self funny this morning, and blowing off the "grow up and act like a boss" looks he was getting from everyone. Or he's really that oblivious, I can't tell. But twice in a week I've been *this* close to telling him exactly what I thought of him. And that would probably be bad. I'll save that for this winter, when at least one of the other grounds staff, maybe two, plan to be leaving; then I can explain to him that they're expressing "no confidence" with their feet.

Not sure what today's agenda is. It was too wet to mess with flower beds yesterday, and probably will be again today. May do some of the naturalized bulbs, those don't make as much of a mess.

The Sock Report: Finished the first mitered rectangle on all four sock pieces (two half-legs per sock), and started on the second. I love the look, but am already tired of weaving in ends. Still not sure how far the purple-dyed yarn will go. I'll need nine rectangles for each sock, and I'd rather it be in some intentional-looking order. We'll see when I get the second set of pieces done.

The UnSock Report: I'm 70-odd rows into the Flower Basket shawl now. Go me! I'm getting about 5 sts to the inch, rather than 4 as the pattern calls for, so I'll do a bunch more rows to get the size I want (which is 54x27" in the pattern, but I'd prefer 60x30"). Been too distracted to work on the white modular kimono, bad me.

The UnSock Report, NonKnitting Project: I discovered last night that I *REALLY* need to either finish what's on the triangle loom, or undo it, so By can take that loom apart, or hang it on a wall out of the way. I'm not going to admit how long that's been in progress, but it's a long time, and the loom is bulky and awkward without being strung up, so....It'll be a good project for Monday or Tuesday, when it's supposed to be raining again. *sigh*
