Nemesis strikes again

Dramatis Personae
Nemesis -- horticulturist
Cheese -- the grounds supervisor (Nemesis and Yours Truly's boss)
Bigger Cheese -- the maintenance supervisor (Cheese's boss)
Super Cheese -- director of facilities maintenance (Bigger Cheese's boss)
New Girl -- the lady hired in May for part-time staff (previously referred to as M)
Science Guy -- head of biology department (Greenhouse Lady's boss)
Greenhouse Lady -- Yours Truly's good friend, who is in charge of the greenhouse
Car Guy -- shop steward
Yours Truly -- narrator, horticulturist

Scene 1 -- Greenhouse Lady's office, midafternoon, midsummer at a metropolitan community college

Synopsis: Greenhouse Lady stops Yours Truly on the sidewalk while Yours Truly is spraying weeds, says that she has an email Yours Truly just has to see. Greenhouse Lady doesn't want to forward this email to Your Truly, for fear of getting in trouble by sharing information that she (Greenhouse Lady) isn't supposed to have, but Greenhouse Lady is quite willing to pull it up on her computer and allow Yours Truly to read the missive.

The email in question was blind carbon-copied to her from Science Guy, addressed to Bigger Cheese and Super Cheese, and is a complaint about the appearance of the garden areas on Inner Campus. While the grammer and word choice in the complaint is surprisingly ....unpolished.... coming from a person in Science Guy's position, it does have a couple of good jabs, and Yours Truly is vastly amused. Inner Campus, you see, is Nemesis' territory, and Yours Truly doesn't go there, doesn't work there, etc.

Scene 2: Grounds shop, later that afternoon (shortly before quitting time--characters are very relaxed)

Synopsis: Yours Truly is checking email after a long day of spraying and pulling weeds. The first message in Yours Truly's inbox is....you guessed, the email from Science Guy, which has been forwarded from Super Cheese to Yours Truly, and Nemesis, and Cheese, with the cryptic note attached: "See me."

Scene 3: Super Cheese's office, 4pm same afternoon.

Synopsis: Yours Truly tries to check in with Super Cheese about the email, but he is in a meeting and will be for some time. Yours Truly is told by the gaggle of gossiping secretaries that Super Cheese will not be in the following day, so this email thing will not be dealt with until next week.

Yours Truly takes another tack, and skips across the hall to Bigger Cheese's office, where Yours Truly is told that he, Bigger Cheese, knows that this isn't Yours Truly's mess to deal with. Bigger Cheese hands Yours Truly a stack of work orders with instructions to carry them down to Cheese's ailbox (Cheese being absent this day).

Scene 4: Maintenance Supervisor's office, by the mailboxes.

Synopsis: Yours Truly thumbs through the stack of work orders, to find that they are all for areas of Inner Campus mentioned in the email from Science Guy, and all assigned to Nemesis. Yours Truly leaves, snickering.
