By said last night that Terry might have some work for him soon (something about waiting for a permit/paperwork with the city). *crosses fingers*

Got about half an inch of rain yesterday afternoon--not that we needed it at school, with the 5+" that fell here Sunday & Monday. Only got half that at our house--better than nothing.

Spent yesterday pulling tree stakes and cables on the tree trail, will do the same today. Boring. Only good thing is I can take the truck, which has a radio, so I can listen to NPR all day. And I get to spray most of the day tomorrow, since the wind is supposed to die down--oh, boy.

Had a full car on the way home last night--more yarn from Myrna (not quite filled the back seat), 9 cannas, a few 4-packs of Mexican tarragon, some small leftover tomato plants, and various other bits and pieces she's trying to get rid of. I even know where I'm going to plant most of it already. Too wet in the garden to do it last night, but I do know where the stuff will be going.

Must see about getting the cabinets finished in the famnily room--not only is the sofa full of yarn, but there is now a great heap in front of the sofa. I foresee a lot of socks in my knitting future. And maybe a sweater--there were several cones of heavier-than-worsted weight wool singles in last night's haul. And more of the same in the first batch. Found another skein of the linen yarn, too--looks like one of the fancy wet-spun, polished-looking yarns. Still not sure what I'm going to do with the linen yarn; to many ideas.

Showed the shawl-in-progress to Donna last night. She thinks Myrna will like it. I hope so. I've got about 6" done, which is cool--it's worked with the rows lengthwise, so I only need about 24" to be done. Will do a few more rows during lunch today.
