I survived the morning

The greenhouse benches are much emptier than they were (YAY!), and I've had about 20 people stop and say, "It wasn't the light, your hair really is green!"


I was also told, by one of the bio profs, that I now had the leprechaun hair to match my height. He was smart enough to say that from far out of reach :)

Thanks to the friends and family who stopped in and bought plants and gave me hugs. That helped a lot.

I'm going to finish my lunch now--Dr G made us lasanga and salad and garlic bread. Yay!

I really couldn't say....you'd have to say the husbands for their opinion....

Certainly wouldn't ask the bio prof though, he's also a Baptist minister. (He is one who refers to his own calling as "when I got religion", with a grin on his face. Wish there were more like him.)

I have a couple of re-strings I have to get done this weekend, I'll grab the stuff while I'm home and then me, the beads, and my tooth brush will be right over.

Just an observation, babe. And a bit of a ...well, sort of food for thought. At the time, it seemed very transgressive--taking a toothbrush, PLANNING to stay the night and do something Mom wouldn't approve of. Now, it just seems practical.

They would have loved me, I kept a toothbrush and a little tube of toothpaste in my purse at all times :) Ya just never knew in those days :)

Sorry I couldn't make it over. I haven't posted about it yet, but my car broke down on Thursday night and I had no ride over my lunch break (grr). Fate seems to have smiled on us though; saturday afternoon our friend from Manhattan who is in town for the summer working for Kaw valley brought over a truck full of plants headed for some unknown destination and gave us our pick for free! Of the bunch we got some tomatoes and peppers. I'm going to have him look for cilantro and then my salsa garden will be complete :) Glad that stressful period is over. Hopefully you've found the opportunity to sit and breathe.
