...there's gossip from the maint department. Courtney was telling me this afternoon that New Boss let The Other Horticulturist talk him into posting my former position in a national trade mag, and that so far, the only app that's come in and looked good was from a guy in Arizona. I'm told New Boss is all twitterpated, doesn't know how to interview someone long distance.

Color me vastly amused.

I muse on how happy I am to be out of there every morning I'm at work, starting the morning quietly in a warm office with a Coke or tea, and not diesel fumes.

It entered my vocabulary when my little sister was in junior high. Her class picked up all sorts of weird words then, and I still use a couple of them. "sucked twinkies" is the one you'll hear most often.

I'll have you know that "twitterpated" is standard southern, and people down here know exactly what it is and how to use it at an early age.

That being said, she is from the midwest, and therefore not expected to know the proper use of the word. Thus, I agree that it is nice to see it used properly. ;-)
