Tuffy, Feb 1991 - Nov 22, 2005

Tuffy passed during the night. We buried him at sunrise, up in the garden.

He'd been a constant in our lives together, all these years. I know, eventually, I'll get used to things without him, but at the moment, I can't imagine how.

Oh no. I'm so sorry. :( We knew it was coming, but it's always hard.

I'm glad we got to spend some good time with him recently-ish, although I wish Pepin could have said goodbye. Pepin really loved that silly old cat.

I'm going through this, myself, right now. We just lost our cat Chornaya Koshka after 13 years. She was a loud, operatic sort of cat. Now, the house is just too damned quiet...

I know I'm a sort of random stranger of the internet, but I just wanted to let you know you have my deepest sympathies. I saw Tuffy's picture on Cat's journal, and he was beautiful. The fuzzy loved ones are so hard to lose. *hugs*

I suspected this was on the horizon, given the updates on his condition these past few months, but it's still hard to imagine him gone. [*sigh*] Even though it's been over ten years since he spent time at my apartment as a flood evacuee, I still thought of him a little bit as part of the extended family.

He did have a good run, though, and I'm glad that he apparently went peacefully. Hopefully he's somewhere, now, where he doesn't have to deal with trying to open doorknobs despite the lack of opposible thumbs, and people hassle him for leftovers, instead of the other way around. [*chuckle*]

BTW, The dates above can't possibly be right, though. Shouldn't it be Feb. 1991 or 1992 to Nov. 2005?
