So, work actually got real rain out of that sudden shower stuff Sunday and Monday. Like, 1.5" on Sunday, and .5" on Monday. So I'm not watering trees, which does and does not suck. Watering trees is super boring, but that's what I've got energy for today. It'd be nice to do something else, and get caught up on other chores, if I were more energetic. Maybe the 1pm staff meeting will run long.

By's got a long work day ahead of him--he had to be in at 7am, and he's staying until 8pm or later. Robyn's hosting a NAWBO meeting tonight, and is going to have the gallery open during and after the meeting; hopefully, the ladies will go shopping.

Didn't get much knitting done last night, probably won't today. Dammit. I really want to get those heels finished on the kilt hose, so I can feel like I'm making progress again.

There's a couple of problems with that. First, I'm just not motivated to be working today. Especially if working involves running around cutting broken branches because all the new guys on the mowers aren't smart enough to go around the dang trees. Second, my hands are a bit stiff already, weather or too much knitting last week, I don't know. Which cuts into the knitting time this evening, without getting me any further to being done on the kilt hose.

ok... well, you can chat and rest your hands this evening then.

As for the FNG's; threats of using the loppers on body parts of theirs instead of broken branches if they keep it up might be in order.

I have enough trouble with impulse control and my desire to inflict bodily harm, thank you very much.

I keep asking myself how I've ended up surrounded by men like that. I really have no idea. But there seem to be an awful lot of you guys in my life lately.

Are you complaining? Maybe I SHOULD get in touch with Tristan....

No, that's not necessary. He's No Help all on his little ol' lonesome. And when he and By start doing the evil twin thing, anc channelling each other.... **sigh**

no no no no no no no no no

The Evil Twins are bad enough, thank you very much. Though, maybe you can explain--why does Tristan squawk at me to stay out of his head when we come with the same idea at the same time, but chortles with glee when he and By do that with each other?

because he views By as a brother in deviousness, and you as a object upon which to practice. If you are in his head, so to speak, it means that you may also figure out some of the other things he has cooking before he is ready to spring them upon poor, defenseless you. ;-)

Mrph.

Actually, his response has been more along the lines of "out of my head, there's not enough room for two in here".....

(I should poke him, and see if he wants to jump on the comment bandwagon and defend himself.)

Just be careful, I'm willing to bet he pokes back ;-)

Skillfully. He pokes back, skillfully.

Of course, he pokes front skillfully as well. That's part of why I love him.

Yes, I know you can. ;-) Still up for our phone call this evening? Or have I been pre-empted by other matters?

Was planning to, although I ought to get myself off the 'puter and into the shower post haste. And then dinner. Good thing the fridge is well stocked with leftovers.
