The Kiri Shawl (links to pdf of pattern) is another one of those internet knitting bandwagons I just couldn't resist. And with a brand new, 4-oz cone of green Zephyr from Yule, I had the perfect yarn for a leafy shawl.

Knitted on #7 Denises, which are plasic, which made the whole business rather tricksy. Easily memorized repeat; it'd be a good first lace shawl pattern for those considering taking the plunge.

The last pic shows the size of the shawl, in relation to our queen-sized bed. It's huge, it's showy, and it drapes like a dream. Will try to get pics of it on me when I finally wear it out and about. I'd love for that to be when I do my hair green again, that'd be all kinds of fun...matching the hair to the lace!

I think it's the one I'm going to be wearing the most often, long-term. Clapotis in winter, sure, because it's warm and bright and orange, and that makes January better, and the Fenna shawl was intended mostly to cuddle myself in around the house. This one, though, is for showing off :)
