treeskin10 things that I've done that you probably haven't:
1. Made a 5' diameter piece of lace using two sticks and about a mile of fine yarn.
2. Worn nothing but hand-knit socks for a week.
3. Made an angelfood cake from scratch, not even a mixer. (*)
4. Been told by the nice ladies at Yarn Barn that I was crazy for knitting Turkish socks to the traditional gauge (9 sts/in).
5. Crocheted a tablecloth. And finished the damn thing.
7. Started my education in a 1-room public grade school, which had 22 students in first through sixth grades.
8. Lived 50 miles from the nearest McDonalds or shopping mall. For more than a decade.
9. Planted more than 300 trees in my life (from seedling whips for a nut orchard, to 2.5" caliper shade trees at work).
10. Been married to the same wonderful man for more than a third of my life. (Hi sweetie!)

11. Toasted my 10th wedding anniversary with the last bottle of 10-yr-old blackberry mead.
12. Have only spoken to my male parental unit once since I was 17, because he didn't have the balls to show up sober for his father's funeral.
*Because I could, which is an answer that works for most of the list. In this case, because I was 15, didn't know any better, and the judge at the county fair was VERY impressed.
