The day is not getting better.
Feb. 10th, 2005 09:27 amAfter an intensely silly snow removal project this morning at the theater building (see below, I get the PO back for my latest specimen tree order. Either I'm an idiot, or the folks in Purchasing are. Took me 15 minutes to figure out that the Po was $100 higher than what I'd put in for because Purchasing had taken my list of acceptable substitutes (clearly labelled, I thought) and listed those as part of the order. *shakes head* That's going to screw up the shipping costs, big time, which will filter down into all kinds of consternation in Purchasing when it comes time to pay the bill.
**Intensely silly snow removal = some broad in impractical shoes wanted us to get ALL the snow off of the ENTIRE curb in front of the theater entrance and drop-off area, because they've got busloads of grade-school children coming today, and they can't be trusted to not track the snow into the building, or some such. And our usual solution of more ice melt wasn't good enough. So we had to move it BY HAND, across the 15 feet of Already Cleared Sidewalk, so kids won't get anything messy on their shoes.
