I get a call from Pet last night, said he'd finally found my number and wanted to make sure it still worked before he programmed it into his new cell phone. Sounds like th boy has had a rough month or so...he just broke up with the gal we was seeing when I saw him at Laid Back (who was nice, but aslo very young). And, just a couple days ago, he found out his 3-yr-old sone wasn't his. Seems the mother had needed more money that he's been able to give her lately, and turned him in for not paying child support, and the agent who contacted him talked him into a paternity test. Pet sounded like he was still shaken about the discovery, he was pretty attached to that kid. But he also said that the thought that he'd already screwed up once made him much more careful than he probably would have been otherwise, so it was good for him that respect.

Betty's peeved with me, because I forgot that we were playing this Sunday and the next, and told folks I'd be at the HSA meeting this Sunday. Gee whiz, I've missed the last three because of performances, Betty & crew can do without me this time. In fact, I'm going to have another think on it during the holidays, but I'm thinking now that after the holidays I'll call Betty and tell her I can't justify the extra gas to get to Leavenworth. That's a nice answer. And it is part of the truth. I know I won't be the first person to leave the group because it's just not fun anymore.

Frank left a phone message last night, saying he'll know Satuday if he's got that job in Topeka or not. Another position in a club, working nights. No word on when he'd be back to take care of his cat or anything. Snot.

Between rehearsal, and the massive fixing the toilet and cleaning of Frank's bathroom, I've gotten no knitting or crafty things done since Tuesday. Am much vexed.

It's quite chilly out today, so I'm office make-work, digging out MSDS forms for our chemical inventory. Hasn't been done since I've been here, who knows why. For that matter, no idea why the campus HazMat guy isn't doign it, but that's ok. I'm the one who was bugged by not having n MSDS book, so I'm the one who gets to fix it. And it's a good project for this weather.

Any project that keeps you indoors is a *good* thing.

It wasn't too bad this morning, it was the 38 degrees plus 25mph winds all afternoon that made today unbearable. That's okay, though. My project took until 3:45, and by then my brain was smoking and it was time to quit and goof off. I've more to do on it tomorrow, too, but it's supposed to be nicer, less windy, so I can do some outside stuff, too.
