I forgot what day it was, until I turned on the radio. Argh. Could they please just do the news, then spend the rest of the day doing memorial stuff? I guess not. Addendum: couldn't they find better, more graceful speakers for something like this? Gawd almighty, this is painful to listen to.

It's one of *those* days, even before I turned the radio on. I spent half the night coughing, took Nyquil for it, and just as it was kicking in, The Boy started getting up every 15 minutes. and By was out in the shop finishing a project, until 3:30 am, so I was Zombie Mom, trying to shake off the Nyquil fog to chase The Boy back to bed. At 3ish, By called the police Mr Uphill's son, who was outside shooting his pistol into the night and screaming. So sometime today, we'll probably have a visit from Mr Uphill, because we called the cops on his poor son, and everybody picks on him, and we didn't need to do that, etc.......

I ought to go out and work in the yard, but my hands have hurt for 2 days, and my allergies have been bad for 2 or 3 days, despite daily allergy meds, and I just don't feel up to it. I probably will go out soon, if only to get the kids outside and running. They've been wild for two days.

I get time away from the kids tomorrow. I can hardly wait. With By working extra projects the past three weekends, I've had little time to myself, and I'm extra crabby. Tomorrow, he's working on the shed, and I'm going up the the local elementary school to fill out the paperwork for getting The Miss into preschool. **crosses fingers** I hope that goes smooth.

The sweet little doll bed that By's folks made for The Miss has been stripped of dolls, bedding, and mattress, so The Boy can drive his trucks on it. The Miss's opinion on this is exactly what you'd expect.

The Boy just realized that he is taller than he used to be, and can now reach more of the kitchen counter. My tea is in jeapordy, among other previously out-of-reach curiosities.

Dammit. I'm running out of places that I can reach easily, that my kids can't.
