Family holiday kerflufflery, part the second.

Heard from Sis this morning. Grandma refuses to call Uncle M to make arrangements to get herself down there, and refuses to hear of spending the night at his house. Mom hasn't called to discuss things with him yet, which could be avoidance, or could be she's trying to deal with school board shenanigans (which are grave, and have been involving lawyers). So......

So, we still don't have plans. Sis, who' tried to derail this nonsense this year is all vranky at Mom and Uncle M and Grandma. By is firmly of the opinion that we should skip the whole business and feast on the roasted turkey legs in the freezer.

My head is enough better today that I'm giving the mini monsters a "drum day": 2 xylophones*, hand drums, and a tambourine. They're thrilled.

* It's very important that there are 2 xylophones. I learned that the hard way last time.

By's customer for doll armor loves the sword and shield he delivered Saturday, so payment on that ought to come soon. Yay for being paid.

He's getting ready to start another doll costuming project, for trade this time. His pay will be dolls to use as body models for special projects like these, since there's interest for such things.


The Sock Report: turned the heel on mother-in-law's sock, and am halfway down the gusset. Hope to have this one done today, and start the next tonight or tomorrow. Am thinking about starting Sooper-Sekrit-Sock-Project anyway, just to make sure it gets done.
