Nov. 15th, 2010 05:18 pmI feel like a walking drug store--I'm on three pills and two creams, trying to get my hands to heal. **le sigh** The doc says it's ezcema, and this treats the symptoms, and I need to figure out what I'm allergic to. Wish me luck.
Not hide nor hair of Salvage Guy today, or all weekend. By's going to take tomorrow off work, I think, and try to get some of this stuff done, since we can't rely on SG. (Yes doc, I know my blood pressure is up today, and I know exactly why.....)
He did put some recently acquired, salvaged cabinets to use in the shop today. That created a safer pedastal for one of his tools, and made easily-utilized space for three boxes of stuff (paints and what-not), so that's good progress.
Finally figured out that we haven't been able to find our teething tablets at the store because they've been recalled. Grrrrr. The press page wasn't specific as to why, something about their manufacturing process. Is very very frustrating, since those are the only thing we've found that works on The Bug.
Am waiting to hear from Mom or Sis about where we're going for Thanksgiving. Because, as always, there's a kerfluffle. Uncle M is hosting at his place, and Grandma is trying to commit all of us to making the drive. Mom is trying to convince Grandma that she's welcome to go, if Uncle M will come fetch her (highly unlikely), but that's too far for By and me and the kids to day trip. So stay tuned for more family kerflufflery.
The Sock Report: have finished the leg of the first sock for Mother-In-Law, and am into the heel. It looks fabulous so far, and the pattern writing isn't so wonky as translation as to be difficult. Have picked another gifting pattern to start when these are done, but that won't see much mention here, since the person in question reads this. For the kids, I'm just going to do simple fast socks in bright colors, since they grow so dang fast. (Did I mention, 2 shoes sizes since September???)
I have a notion of making the kids felt house boots with leather soles, too. More on that later.
