Nov. 14th, 2010 09:14 amPulled a most-of-the-night project binge last night, working on doll parts. wasn't going to be able to sleep anyway, because my head still hurt and The Bug was fussing every half hour, might as well get something done.
The half-sized doll is finished except for its face. I ended up doing the arm and leg joints with size 11 seed beads, because I couldn't find buttons small enough. I think it looks ok, though.
By did an all-night session trying to finish a sword and shield to go with the doll armor. The shield is done. There was a break in a critical part of the sword hilt around 3am. He got the rest of the sword detailing done, though. He's off now, to deliver the shield and show the client the progress on the sword.
And all that means that the planned 2 or 3 hr "work on the house" session won't be happening today, because By's not safe to handle power tools. Not sure I should have let him drive, but I'm not much better.
