I'm going back to work this week so I can take it easy.
Made it through the HSA meeting on Sunday without too much drama. I am SOOOO not going to run for any offices or committee chairs next year. Then I can blow off meetings when I'm tired. Didn't manage to get the minutes typed and posted that night--we'd gone out to dinner after the meeting, and I had an allergy attack, and spent the rest of the night on the sofa, miserable because I couldn't breathe, then I could breathe, but I was miserable from the Benadryl. Add TGI Fridays to the list of places that are too smoky for me to go to.
Yesterday was shopping day, for groceries and giftmas things. Necessary, but expensive. We're nearly done with the giftmas capitalist consumer binge...I need to call a quilt shop in Salina and get a gift certificate for her, and By's going to pick up a gift card from Lowe's for Sis's husband. Now I need to start wrapping and mailing things. Maybe even on time, this year.
I didn't get my sit and be quiet time this morning, so I'm going to be almost as cranky as Donna. I'd forgotten about the department meeting at 7:30 today. Blech. I got here at 7:15, and hoped to have a few mintues to myself....oh well. Means I can get out and get home earlier, so I'll have time to tidy a bit before Cat gets there. Donna's gonna be REAL cranky today...she was here for the meeting, and will be here until 9 or so tonight giving finals...she was just hollering at Dr G for making her put in a 14-hr day. See was also saying that she'd thought about asking me to stay and proctor one of her finals, but I've got plans already. (Thanks, Cat!)
