Luxury is...

...getting to spend an extra night with Tristan this week (that being tonight). The downside is, he can't make it to Tara this coming weekend, so I'm looking at having to wait until the following weekend to get my next fix. Ah, well. I did get lots of quality snuggle time this weekend, so I shouldn't complain.

Had a lovely weekend. Soent Sat night doing the "geek date" thing with Tristan: cuddled up together on the couch, each with a book. Went book shopping with both the boys last night, at the big Barnes and Noble at the Plaza. We all did fairly well at staying within budget, considering none of us counts as "adult supervision" in a bookstore. Got a couple of novels, a book of rustic furniture for By (for the ideas), and Scarf Style for me (because I've been coveting it for AGES). And today, when we got the mail, there was a package from By's mom, with the (out of print) custom shoemaking book he'd asked her to find for his birthday. Major score, there. I don't want to know what she paid for it; I know what prices we'd found for it, and that why we hadn't bought it yet.

Did the Tara shopping today, will start the baking tomorrow. Scones will keep until next weekend. And need to start hard-boiling eggs.

On a silly note

First, I was informed over the weekend that my orange rayon sarong and brown Japanese print hippari jacket, together, were a fashion statement that ought not be made outside the house. Likewise, that the same sarong, with a soft burgundy sweater. I'm dating a fashion critic. Who knew? :)

Second, when I go back out to the living room, I'll have to fight one of the cats for snuggle space on the boyfriend's lap. Isn't that pitiful?
