Jun. 3rd, 2005 07:03 amAnother post-Heartland observation: must remember that when it gets warm and humid at work, the shirt stays *on*. (No, no major slip-up yet, just that I had to remind myself about three times yesterday afternoon.)
The hardest thing I'll do today was to get up, get dressed, kiss By a thank-you for fixing my lunch, and send him back to bed as I left for work. I'm sure the bed was still warm. And he was snuggly before the alarm went off. Staying up until midnight to flirt on IM wasn't the wisest thing I could have done last night, but fun. I got used to having people around the past couple of weeks, and the empty house plus sleeping cats was too quiet.
By scampered off last night to go hear Djembe Kaan play at Irene's. Sounds like it was a good show; from the state of his clothes when he walked in, I won't be able to go to shows there. Just too smoky. But he did bring home a cd for me. He's got to work First Friday tonight; Robyn's got an exhibit from the Surface Design Show that's in town. I'm told the paper artist on the top floor is worth seeing.
He's also got to work the gallery hours the next two Saturdays, because Robyn's got stuff going on. That buggers our plans for the next two weekends. We're going to Mom's Sunday and Monday, supposedly to set up a fence, but that activity will depend on what she's got to say when I call tonight. The following weekend we're trying to squeeze a trip to the Sedalia renfest in between my work schedule and the HSA meeting, which I really *have* to attend. It's not that far, so we may run down in the morning, and leave at noon to go right to the meeting. Depends on how energetic we feel.
