Lost my saving throw against the sleep-inducing power of Baggins, so I didn't get up until 10:30. Ok, 10:30 by the other clock, the computer clock changes itself. Forgot about that whole Daylight-Savings thing.

Got the car unloaded, pulled the nearly-dead tomato plants below the deck, and stuffed the free daylilies in there. They may get moved come spring, they may not. No big deal either way. Unless they clash with the rosebush; Coach didn't remember what color of daylilies he was giving me. The new iris are all planted too, in the front yard flowerbeds. Those are a pale yellow, old-fashioned-looking bearded iris. I will need to dig and move echinacea seedlings from the front yard next spring. If anyone needs a few dozen, let me know.

The coat I found at work yesterday fits By nicely, and it's the weight/style he was needing. Very very cool.

Still haven't found that hat pattern I'm looking for, but I've found a few links that might interest you and Ranj:

Hatternique, which has some pretty cool patterns for sale. A couple looked like things that Ranj might like.

Strong Women Dance cap, because the design on it's cool.

The knitted Elvis Wig. It's like a train wreck, you just gotta look.

A beaded kufi cap, maybe not Ranj's style, but kinda cool.

Yossel's Tooessels, who describes his hat designs as "it's like sex, for your head". Worth a look-see. What patterns are available are pretty sketchy, but the hats wouldn't be too difficult to replicate from the info given and the pics.

First, I've made it through the day on only one can of Coke! And three tankards of tea, but herb tea doesn't count.

Second, except for binding off 12 measly stitches, the Lopi sweater is DONE DONE DONE!!!! Finally. Okay, there's still about an hour's work left on it, weaving in ends and grafting the underarm seams, but all the hard stuff is done much sooner than I thought it'd be.

Did the fiddly finish work on the Lopi sweater, picked up and finished the edging on the leftovers shawl, and have a good start on weaving the ends in. Might not finish it completely tonight, but I'm pleased with my progress.

Am 90 rows into the flower basket shawl. According to the pattern, I should be starting the edging in 5 rows. But my yarn and gauge are smaller than the pattern, so my shawl is only 19" deep by 38" wide, and I want a shawl big enough to wrap up in. Onward I go, at least until the yarn runs out.

By finished making forms to stitch some of his leather projects around, and made a stitching horse for some of the fiddly bits, and a couple of other mysterious-looking tools that he's quite pleased with.

And someone just did microwave popcorn, and I've got to smell it. I think it's time they paid the popcorn tax :)
