Oct. 31st, 2004 09:54 amLost my saving throw against the sleep-inducing power of Baggins, so I didn't get up until 10:30. Ok, 10:30 by the other clock, the computer clock changes itself. Forgot about that whole Daylight-Savings thing.
Got the car unloaded, pulled the nearly-dead tomato plants below the deck, and stuffed the free daylilies in there. They may get moved come spring, they may not. No big deal either way. Unless they clash with the rosebush; Coach didn't remember what color of daylilies he was giving me. The new iris are all planted too, in the front yard flowerbeds. Those are a pale yellow, old-fashioned-looking bearded iris. I will need to dig and move echinacea seedlings from the front yard next spring. If anyone needs a fewdozen, let me know.
The coat I found at work yesterday fits By nicely, and it's the weight/style he was needing. Very very cool.
The UnSock Report: Finishing Things
Didn't finish anything last night, but I did make decent progress on that Lopi sweater I started last winter. Did 6 rounds on the yoke, have about 20 left, then ends to weave in, two underarm seams to sew, and wash and block it.
Did a couple of rows on the flower basket shawl while I've been on the computer yesterday and today. That's not as high-priority a project, but it's the one next to the computer.
In an ideal world, these are the things I'd like to finish this weekend:
* By's black sweater. I need to finish the sleeve I've started and do the other, sew them in, do the neck band, weave in ends, etc. Love to get it done, but realisticly, probably won't.
* The Lopi sweater. If I spent a solid day on this, maybe. The heavy yarn and colorwork make this one hard to work on.
* The leftovers shawl I started a month ago. Half of the I-cord edging is done, then ends to weave in. Possible, and would make a decent "rest the hands" thing to alternate with the Lopi sweater.
