...then I can nap.

Rehearsal went ok...Bob's still messing up the same passages in the Gilbert & Sullivan pieces, but Betty told him to sit out those measures so he wouldn't mess up the rest of the group, and life was better.

I'm really tired from yesterday. Started prepping a shrub bed on the tree trail for some additional plants, and found BOTH ends of the drip irrigation line. That's bad, one end should be attached to the water supply. I got the bright idea to go find the as-built drawing for the tree trail irrigation, because I'd forgotton just what a shitty job the contractor had done on the as-built. (The bed, and the lines in it, weren't even on the drawing.) So, I was back to finding the line the hard way--with a shovel. Finally found it about 3pm, decided it was something I could probably fix, and figured I'd save it all for today as an excuse to stay away from inner campus (the campus picnic is tonight, blech). So today's agenda is planting one tree, fixing that drip line and replacing the hose, and planting a truckload of perennials. And finding time to pin the boss down for info on plant replacements for the already dead stuff at the new parking garage, becauase that irrigation system is messed up too. Lowest bidder, gotta love it.

Nothing string-wise to report; hands have been too tired the past few days. Got a little crocheting done Wed, while I was waiting for wine to siphon out of the vat, but only a little. I've promised myself quality time with yarn tonight.

By's working late tonight; it's the opening of the show they're doing for Robyn's sister. That'll be up to the 17th of this month; she does good work, it's worth seeing.

The fall issue of Knitty is out, and the knitting-enabled and the non-knitting-enabled alike must go gawk at the Hallowig pattern (a hat...more or less).

Sometimes, I wonder about he gals who design for that magazine. Whatever they'r'e smoking, they're not sharing, and I want some.

Seriously, go look. It's a great giggle for a Friday night.
