Weekend in review
Aug. 25th, 2004 06:55 amWe were bad Sat evening....dinner out, and a quick trip to Half Price Books, and then a quick stop at Hastings before heading home. Picked up my knitting magazines, a couple of books, and a bunch of cheap CD's from HPB (mostly world beat kinda stuff). By found a couple of stained glass magazines at HPB, which had some useful ideas, and more useful ads.
Spent a good chunk of Sunday diligently working on the Tigger afghan. Got another 6" or so done on it, which is a lot. I've got another solid day's worth of work on the Tigger panel, then I need to work on borders. Those aren't colorwork, so those will be faster. Good thing Sis isn't worried about the afghan being done before the baby gets here, though.
Knitted on other projects Monday, while F was unpacking and working on his room. When By got home from work, we all piled in the truck and headed out to meet Robyn at her mom's place, to load furniture for the garage sale. Got stuff unloaded just before the rain started that night, and got home very late (for us, anyway). Never did figure out what all the fire trucks and police were doing up the block.
FYI--there's a garage sale being held at the Pearl from today until Sat (can't remember the hours). All kinds of cool stuff.
Yesterday I cleaned a little, and did some laundry, and made bread and dinner. By got home early, because things were just too wet at the projects they were planning to work on today. He's home today, too, working on a jewelry commission. F had to be to work by 4:30 yesterday afternoon, to get ready for the "after concert party" for Snoop Dog. I expect he'll be a cranky person today...he wasn't looking forward to that many people in the club.
