Jun. 12th, 2004 07:31 amPerformance went ok last night, except that the high-school girl who plays with us didn't arrive until the 5th piece, marched right up the MIDDLE OF THE STAGE WHILE WE WERE PLAYING, and sat down to spend that piece shuffling through her music. Sheesh. What do they teach kids these days? I think I'm going to stay and watch the musical tonight, the beginning sounded decent, for a wholly local production (as in written & composed & directed), performed by teenagers.
Started on the second pattern band on sleeve #1 of The Sweater, and got about 4 rnds into it. I tucked the mess into my bag, in case we do get that rain today. I could cheerfully spend most of my afternoon at work knitting.
Work is comfortably slow this morning--everything's wet enough, we're kind of limited on what we can do if only because a bunch of projects require driving on the grass, and the ground's too wet for that most places. I pulled a pile of flowers out of the greenhosue trash this morning, so I guess I'm going to spend some quality time cleaning those and seeing what's keepable. Yellow daisy mums, a little heather, two kinds of agapanthus, and trachillium. There were some mini calla lilies in the trash, too, but they were too far gone. Pity.
