Got my bead spinner last night. This is a nifty tool...it's a bowl on a spindle, that you fill with beads, and use to string lots of beads at a time, quickly. That's the theory, anyway. Right now, I'm about as fast by hand; hope that'll improve with practice. There are some very fancy turned walnut versions available, but this one is a simple Pepto-pink plastic. I'll look at the fancy ones when I decide what I think of it.
Anyhow, got beads strung for a red-toned bracelet last night, and the first inch crocheted. Matte chestnut delicas (which look very dark rose/pink to me), with bands of shiny scarlet and matte off white. Packed it with me this morning, in case it rains this afternoon.
Also have tenative plans to go do more seeds at the greenhouse this afternoon (Donna's help is supposed to leave the door open for me). Donna started marigolds and something else last night (I'm bad, I forgot), and I started 6 kinds of basil, and thyme, and Pink Sprite hyssop (which is old seed, but we'd be happy with just a few starts). I have several colors of cornflowers laid out to start today, plus more marigolds (5' tall marigolds rock!), celosia, and coreopsis. Plus whatever's in the seed boxes that strikes my fancy. Woo hoo. Whip me, beat me, make me plant strange seeds....
By was very tired, but cheerful this morning; he got the trial-run of the bodice for our friend in Omaha done last night. No clue what time he finished and came to bed.
