It's still really really cold out. Better than yesterday, but still. Didn't wash my hair last night (because of the cold, and rehearsal), so I've got to do that tonight, and then sit around chilly until it dries. Blech. I'm going out today or tomorrow to buy another set of silk long-johns.

No good guess as to when the next set of storms will hit here...I've heard everywhere from late Sat afternoon to Sunday morning. I'm voting for Sunday morning. I'd much rather be at home when this all starts.

Didn't get anything artistic done last night. Got home, took enough Tylenol that I could uncurl my hands, had soup and tea, went to rehearsal & undid all the good that the Tylenol had done, came home, had more soup, fell asleep in my chair. Woke up with a different cat on my lap than the one I'd started with. Went to bed. Woo hoo, exciting.

Very slow at work today--everywhere that usually re-freezes hasn't, because it's not melting yet, and everything that needed shovelling has been done already. One PT guy is filling/cleaning trucks, another was cleaning the floor in the shop. Tractors are refueled already. Ice melt jugs are refilled already. And now the computer in the shop works (it didn't, most of the morning), so I guess, unless someone thinks they need me for something, that I'm going to spend the afternoon "researching trees" (aka playing on the internet).

The squirrel has been banished from the greenhouse for biting too many people in one day. The first bitee was the instructor who gave him to Donna, he just doesn't like her, and the other was the teenager with Asperger Syndrome who's been working in the greenhouse to learn what a real job is like (it's a long story). Anyway, now the squirrel and his big cage are at Donna's, and he has to stay in the cage unless people are home to watch him. This will probably make it easier for Donna to let him go this spring--hard to stay attached to something that bites and chews and makes so much mayhem.

I'd love to be at home playing with my new stash of paper....the last couple piles have renewed my interest in bookbinding (all that free stuff to practice on....). Might bring the materials for some simple stab bindings with me tomorrow; unless the snow starts early, Sat will be just as slow as today.
