I FINISHED THE @)(#*@)#(*%$ RIBBING!!!!!
Jan. 11th, 2004 11:44 pmWell, it's a big deal to me. And got a total of 7 rnds done on The Sweater tonight--I've even finished 3 of the 4 rnds in the first pattern, which is a simple 4-row, 16-st scrollwork bit. Woo hoo.
And there was socking, too. I started the Cabled Sweatsocks (from the same book as the Fireside socks) yesterday afternoon at work. Think I'm using larger yarn than the book called for; I ended up knocking it down from 72 sts around to 56, and 4 pattern repeats rather than 6, but it fits ok, and looks good. Got bunches done on it this afternoon, even standing through the whole HSA meeting--One more repeat, and I turn the heel. And the foot will go fast, since I'm only doing cables on half the sock.
As for the HSA meeting--weeeelll, it was over early. And we got to see people we don't see often, and they were cheerful and functional and more themselves than they've been in a long while.
For the rest, can anyone explain to me why "pagan" seems to be synonymous with "drama-magnet"?
