Stayed up way too late last night to finish reading The Other Boyleyn Girl by Phillipa Gregory. It's a fictionallized story of Mary Boyleyn, the younger sister of Anne Boyleyn. Good, good book.

Haven't got any knitting done, too engrossed in books and art cards the last two days. I did cut apart the mettalic-ink-on-black cards last night. Some of the leaf prints look very finished, some of this set I'll be touching up with a metallic colored pencil, adding some definition.

Oh, and By said Robyn liked the cards I sent in for show-and-tell yesterday. I'm thinking about doing some snowflake ones with glitter, maybe on a blue background. Bet she'd like that.

Work has settled into the December "it's cold and nasty out and there's nothing vital that needs done" doldrums. I spent most of yesterday afternoon doodling ideas for art cards.

Looks like my holiday break at work will begin at 4:30 Dec 20 (Sat), and stretch through 6:00 am Jan 3 (Sat). Add in a vacation day on the 3rd, and I don't go back in to work until the 7th (Wed). Ought to be plenty of time to see everyone we want to see.

We talked to By's folks last night. Looks like we'll be flying out sometime Fri, 12/26, and returning Mon, 12/29. Not sure what our plans are yet with my family.
