More unplanned pets
Sep. 5th, 2003 09:11 amFour-footed and furry this time. Number unknown at present. Someone left a litter of kittens in the barn at work last weekend. Deliberately, because the four of them were left with a cat carrier and towel to sleep in, food and water. Donna found them and felt sorry for them, so she's been feeding them since Tuesday. They tried to follow her out of the barn yesterday, so now they're in the greenhouse. Lily, the greenhouse cat, isn't at all sure she likes this arrangement.
And, since Donna's having surgery next week and will be off at least three weeks after that, they need another home. Which is where we come in--By & I talked about it, and decided to take whichever cats were left by 4:30 tonight home as garage/studio pets. For our allergic friends, no, we are not adding to the allergen-generators in the house. But we're both softies who can't stand by and see innocent things abandoned in places where they'll get hurt (ie, very close to the main road on campus).
