The bad news first: the large furry most-of-a-mouse I found Tuesday afternoon wasn't Furry Bastard (the mouse in the stove). Baggins actually caught Furry Bastard three times yesterday afternoon, but the other cats kept getting in the way and Furry Bastard escaped under the sofa. Where, to our surprise, we found the smelly remains of another mouse, just beyond paw reach. (Just for the record, both of us have had colds, and haven't been able to smell a thing for 2 weeks. Until we went to pick the thing up. Eeewww.)

The good news: We called Muriel last night, to get Rob's contact info with the Army and see how she was holding up, and ROB answered the phone. I guess when he reported for duty, they told him his unit had been reshuffled, and he wasn't going yet. He's still on alert. We're going to try to meet halfway between Minneapolis and KC next weekend, so we can see him before he does get activated. So much for sneaking down to the Wichita lawn & Garden show next weekend with Donna. I think she'll understand, though.

Good news #2: IT DIDN'T SNOW!!!!! Well, not enough we've got to mess with it this morning. Just a little ice melt here and there, that's all.

No new sock news. Finished the doily though, so I'll get it stretched tonight.
