...because my hands are starting to hurt, and my right wrist cracks every other stitch, but I've made all kinds of progress today.
The Tigger Afghan Report: Thanks to a couple of new movies, I got 8 rows done on Tigger last night, along with a great deal of untangling. Today, I finished the colorwork, did another 40 rows of single-color crocheting where I'm going to cross-stitch the baby's name on the afghan, ans now have 5 rounds done on the border. Not sure how many rounds the border will take, but the original request was for an afghan roughly 36x48". I've got 32x34" right now. I think I'll call it done when I hit 42" on the longest side. I ought to have the border done tomorrow, then I get to weave in ends. Joy oh joy. I've got to have it done to deliver to Sis at Thanksgiving.
Other stringish stuff since my last update:
The Sock Report: Spent yesterday afternoon sitting the gallery for Robyn and knitting. I've got about half the foot left on the first aran sock. Will probably take those with me to Mom's to finish, if I don't finish before I leave.
I think I'm going to put that new interwoven cable on socks for Byron, so I need to measure his calf and leg just below the knee, and start designing those. I'm going on Yarn Pilgrimmage next Saturday, I can find nifty sock yarn then.
The Rest of the UnSock Report: Not too much to much to report. The annual show and Tigger have put a big dent in this week's knitting. The Flower Basket Shawl is up to 94 rows, and still not the size I'd like. At this rate, I might actually knit on the thing long enough to remember the entire repeat.
I was talking to one of Robyn's friends after the Thurs night show, and he thought that a show of very fine knitted lace entitled "The Fine Art of Knitting" would be a cool thing to put on for a First Friday. Now I just need to knit enough stuff I feel is good enough.
