This scan shows the "looseness" that just seems to be a part of this binding. See how the pages ave slid off the cover a little bit?

This was a bit of an experiment...how far could I take the caterpillar stitch? I learned that it doesn't turn tight curves very well, and takes forever and a day to do that much of the stitch. And I spaced the holes at the center spine crossing wider than the other spine crossings, so that made an odd spot in the middle of my worm.
5' long x 3 1/8" wide x 1/2" deep (including covers, excluding thickness of caterpillar stitching). Five signatures, 160 pages. Text block is the same paper strips as on the blue coptic book, just folded differently. Cover is cardstock, covered in ivory vellum. Stitched in brown crochet cotton.
