Lunchtime, and time to refill the water truck. Oooooo, aaahhhh, and all the other appropriate noises. Snoring is acceptable. I'm working on my purse socks, and listening to the radio in between moving the hose.

I'm better than the last two posts sounded, honest. Just tired and thoughtful. I'll be fine once I work these things out of my head.

Mrph. The dignity of the socks has been offended.

"Purse socks" are the socks-in-progress project that always lives in my purse. It's my emergency knitting stash.

Abject apologies! I had no idea that socks had dignity to be impuned! :-)

I usually have a lucet stashed in my purse, but my string diversion of choice recently has been needle tatting - and the big ball of crochet yarn doesn't fit so well in the purse... so for the moment I'm carrying a second "keep me sane" bag around with me. :-)

Hand knit socks are very dignified. They have to be, to overwhelm all the silly comments about being knit with a handful of toothpicks.

I have a second knitting project in the car...an afghan...just in case I finish the socks today. Might not, I spent most of the morning drawing. But the afghan bag can sit in the car until tomorrow.
