Jan. 4th, 2004 08:37 pmGot the waste yarn removed and the stitches for both heels picked up on the Greco-Turkish socks while we were out and about this afternoon, and started knitting the first heel. Didn't get as much done as I'd wanted to.
After we'd gotten home, and bonked, and had dinner, I started AND FINISHED the first of the Fireside Sox. Those go really really fast. I'm letting my hands rest now; my hands get more tired using the large (#10) needles.
There and back again. Didn't do the recycling; figured neither of us wanted to slide around on the ice that much. Hwy 24-40 was messy until the west side of Tongie, then it was fine. And the roads in Lawrence weren't bad, parking lots were messy, but most of the roads we were on were ok. Did get the shopping done--a bit of yarn, #2 and #10 sock needles, reinforcing yarn for the alpaca yarn By's mom gave me, and some fun stuff. Pier One has some lovely faux fur pillows on sale right now.

Date: 2004-01-04 10:36 pm (UTC)On another note, can you guys think of any reason Meg might have killfiled me?
I just tried to send email from two different accounts. They both bounced, and I'm freaking somewhat.
